Reviews about Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital

  • I have brought several animals to see Dr. Geoff H. and other doctors at this clinic. All the animals were well treated, Dr. H did a complete hip replacement on one of our rescue dogs and Hope is doing wonderful and will have a long and happy life because of the care she received there. We have also brought in dogs that did not make it. The vets were honest with us about the chances and gave us options so we could make the best decision possible. I trust these vets.

  • Our Golden Retriever, Zoe, has been to Boundary Bay since she was 10 weeks old. Her first operation was done by Dr. Hutchinson and recently just had another done by him. I was given only two options for Veterinary services for her last operation, but didn't like the fact I didn't know who we were going to. I called Boundary Bay and they said they perform the surgery needed. They were very accommodating to us, as we live out of town. I had x-rays done at my local vet and sent down to Dr. Hutchinson. He was able to view the issue and allowed us to come down at the beginning of the week to take measurements and performed the surgery in the next two days. All the staff were very friendly and professional. All questions asked were answered. As Zoe is due to have hip replacements done.....we will be back. Thank you for being so caring.

Attention !!! Not my story but dont brinf you babies here !!! On September 25th 2017, Tyson went in for emergency surgery at boundary bay veterinary hospital in Langley BC, he had got a piece of his rubber bone stuck in his tubes. We met with Dr Geoff Hutchinson who convinced us he had done this surgery before and he was fully capable of doing tysons surgery, it was then that we were quoted 4-6 grand, we put down a 2600$ deposit and went home for the night while Tyson stayed the night at the EACFV clinic following his surgery. We got a phone call the day of his surgery late in the evening Dr Geoff Hutchinson told us Tyson did awesome and everything went well. The following day we got to pick Tyson up, he was definitely not him self but that was to be expected, we had him home for 1 night during this time he had a foul smell and was in extreme pain, the next morning his stomach swelled up making him look pregnant it was right then that we rushed him back to AECOFV clinic, the vet working then took Tyson in the back room for an ultrasound, it was there they ripped his bandages off without any sedation, I had to hear my baby scream in pain, that will haunt me for the rest of my life!! One of the vet techs came out and said it's ok he's fine he's just being a big baby and asked me if it was ok for her to give him some chicken. When the vet came back out she reassured me Tyson was fine and that he wouldn't die. She told me the fluid dripping from his wounds had Bacteria so she gave me some antibiotics to take home and told me to come back in 3 days, she knew the hole time Tyson wouldn't be alive in 3 days. After leaving that night we came home and I knew something was very wrong with my boy, I could smell the death on him, puss and blood dripping from his wounds. In a fit of rage I called AECFV and told them how I felt, these people tried to say I refused sedation for Tyson which is just not true, if I was willing to pay thousands of dollars on my boy you really think I would deny him sedatives? Absolutely ridiculous! I knew Tyson needed help he was in soo much pain, my sweet boy was not doing good. We rushed him to another vet who tried his hardest to save his life but to no prevail, my boy passed away. It was at this vets office I got to find out the truth of what dr Hutchinson did to my boy, he mutalated his body, ultimately severed his urinary gland. This dr Geoff did not care at all about my boys life, he doesn't even know to stitch or staple properly, he left large gaps between tysons staples. He knew Tyson was gonna die and so did his team but they hid this from me because all they wanted was my money, they took 5 grand from me and ultimately did not do tysons surgery correctly. Dr Geoff Hutchinson murdered my boy, he cut up my boys tiny private parts even, he did unspeakable acts of animal cruelty to my dog. He used my boy as an experiment and he knew once he severed that urinary gland that Tyson would die very slowly and very painfully. The female vet at AECFV who sent Tyson home with puss dripping from his belly knew he would die but lied straight to my face, AECFV and boundary bay vet work under the same roof top. These people are very sick human beings, they made my boy suffer soo badly, I would have had him put down immediately if I knew the truth but these monsters lied and let that little boy suffer all over money. I will not rest until my boy gets some justice, I will go to court, it's already in the process, they will be served later this week. I will not stop until dr Geoff Hutchinson loses his surgery license, we have proof of what he did to my boy, the vet who tried to save my boys life has already written a report showing exactly what Geoff Hutchinson did to my boy, I'm gonna rally outside there clinic with all the photos of all the animals you murdered Geoff, as god is my witness I will not give up until justice is served for my baby!
